Majutsu no Niwa is now releasing 2 CDs simultaneously of its 5th work--- crystallizing those two aspects of “singing”, PartⅠ“The Visionaries’ Sand Zone” and PartⅡ“With à qui avec Gabriel” in a fine paper sleeve. 2 years have gone during the recording in studio with a careful mixing and mastering.
PartⅠhas a ceaseless waves or their characteristic “hard” Rock ’n Roll. For PartⅡ with full of acid folk color, à qui avec Gabriel, the female accordionist, has joined the band. Both CDs include the previous bassist, Kageyama Hiroyuki.
Majutsu no Niwa
Majutsu no Niwa is a rock band of Fukuoka Rinji (vo, g, etc) and Morohashi Shigeki (dr, per) established in 2008, out of ashes of the former band, Overhang Party with its 17 years of history.
Its musicality depicts such tranquil singing to a massive hard sound while nourishing the extreme vibrational amplitude of drone and improvisation, and keep realizing the Eternal Rock’n Roll Theatre. It is a bottom of Rock or a conservative reaction that repels the categorization based only on commercialism. Kawai Wataru from ex-UZU has joined the band as a bassist from October, 2012.
à qui avec Gabriel
Her heartbeat penetrated straight from the heaven transforms into a breathing of her body part, Gabriel, the accordion, and that is emitted to the space as a sweet melody. Such sound of her breathing and movement call each other and brings out her unique rhythm that is so light and free from gravity. It is also worth noting that she, not only through Gabriel, has started singing with her own voice. She has released her solo works from Tzadik and musik atlach. Recently “Golden Tree”, the duo set album with Kawabata Makoto of Acid Mothers Temple has been also released from Important Records. Beautiful grace of “Acoordion Punk”.

魔術の庭が持つ二つの側面を「唄」に結晶させた第五作品集、PartⅠ“The Visionaries’ Sand Zone” とPartⅡ“With a qui avec Gabriel”の2枚が、端麗な見開き紙ジャケットに包まれCDで同時発売。制作に約2年の月日をかけ、それぞれ入念なミックスとマスタリングを施したフルスタジオ作品。
魔術の庭特有のハードなロックンロールの波が押し寄せては返すPartⅠ。アシッドフォーク色あふれるPartⅡには、稀代の女性アコーディオニストà qui avec Gabrielが全面参加。両作とも前べーシスト、影山裕之が参加した最後の作品である。
魔術の庭
17年の歴史を刻んだ前身バンド、Overhang Partyの灰の中から福岡林嗣(Vo,G,etc)と諸橋茂樹(Dr,Per)により2008年に誕生したRock Band。その音楽性は、静謐な唄から大音響のハードサウンド、到達点不明のドローン、インプロヴィゼイションまで極端な振幅を孕み、永遠のRock’n Roll Theatreを現出させ続けている。しょせんは商業主義でしかないジャンル分けを寄せ付けない、「Rockの後衛もしくは保守反動」。2012年1月より前UZUの河合渉がべーシストとして参加。
à qui avec Gabriel
天上界から垂直に貫かれた彼女の鼓動は、自らの器官そのものであるアコーディオンGabrielによって息吹へと変わり、妙なる旋律として宙に放たれる。呼吸やしぐさがそのまま木霊し合い、固有のリズムを生み出すその音は、あくまでも軽やかで、重力から自由だ。近年「声そのもの」によって唄い始めたのも注目すべき事柄である。Tzadik、musik atlachよりソロ作品を発表。先頃Important RecordsよりAcid Mothers Templeの河端一とのデュオアルバム“Golden Tree”もリリースされた。ゲスト参加したフランスのAvan-Gardeギタリスト、Michel Henritziのソロ作も近い。優雅なる「Accordion Punk」。
